Watch my 2017 TEDx talk:
Chris has been speaking publicly since 2012. Chris also teaches social-emotional learning throughout Southern California at high schools, after school programs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and LA’s Central Juvenile Hall.
He believes helping youth access the importance of self-love, mindfulness, and positive psychology at an early age can change the trajectory of their lives and get us closer to a more peaceful planet.
Chris is also an LGBTQ "inner-advocate" and gives workshops and presentations for colleges, conferences, and organizations across the United States on the importance of self-love and effective advocacy, how to prevent queerphobia, and raise allies.
Chris is a part of PFLAG Los Angeles' speakers bureau visiting schools throughout Los Angeles County sharing his story.
In 2017, Chris gave his first talk from the TED stage and was a featured speaker at TEDxCSULB’s Threads Undone. His talk has already been viewed more than 15,000 times, is being used for educational and training purposes across the U.S., and has even been translated into Portuguese for a popular parenting site in Brazil.
Chris has been a featured guest on international podcasts speaking on a variety of topics, including his work with LGBTQ homeless youth, his journey to sobriety, what led him down the spiritual path, and why he believes life is a road trip to love.
Chris’ public speaking rates vary depending on organization, location, time, and topic.
